CIDR protocol for live cover

I was trying to search old messages (I'm not that savvy with these forums).  I think this was covered last year and maybe Don said he had good luck with a 5 day pull?  Just wanting to compare what you all do as far how long you leave CIDRs before you pull them for live cover.

The 5 day pull is during the fall breeding season, when breeding the spring or out of season minimum of 12 days is needed
