Thank both so much! I held back last night on grain.  Gave grass hay.  Today she seems better as she wanted the hay but didn't eat the 1lb of corn.  She didn't appear to be loose when I checked her.  She has been on same batch of feed so nothing different.  Due date from ultrasound is Friday but I think she's close.  I gave free choice baking soda last night and she ate it.  So I appreciate the advice!

All Sheep and Lamb Discussion / question preg. ewe lamb
« on: January 23, 2016, 03:50:44 pm »
Question: I have a ewe lamb that is 5 days from due date.  She started having very loose bowl movements today.  No change in diet.  Feeding 12.5% x 2.5 lbs and all the grass hay she wants.  She is still eating some hay.  I did not feed any grain today just hay! Thoughts?? Thank you!

Fiitter, what would you use in place of the Ensure?  I need to give the calories without adding a bunch of feed.  Do you have any other products.  I only have 10 days.  Thanks

All Sheep and Lamb Discussion / lamb limping after exercise running
« on: July 25, 2015, 09:47:46 pm »
I have a lamb limping after exercising.  It's not bad but I notice it.  I checked it out and it looks fine.  What can you give for pain or inflammation?  I am resting the lamb now.  I am 15 days from show!  I want to make sure I'm not giving them anything that will show up on drug test.  Thoughts?  Thanks!

All Sheep and Lamb Discussion / Re: Fill Products for lambs
« on: July 24, 2015, 09:51:42 am »
Kgb, how do you know what product would be best? I feel that the lamb is good but being bigger lamb I feel he needs more in his flank.  If I can get the flank to fill in he will look like a tube.  I just don't know which one to pick.  Thanks.
