Thanks Crystal.  Our main threat is dogs.  Haven't had a problem for several years but you never know.  A guard dog would be great but when the ewes are out on pasture or in more than one location a dog seems more complicated.

Would a mini donkey work as a sheep guard?  He is male and intact.  Thanks for any help.

Yes, had it happen on day 12 to a ewe.  I pulled it the next day when I saw the mark.  She got bred.

Thanks, it does seem risky.  I only cidred 2 ewe lambs this year.  Nothing happened after pulling cidrs at 10 days and 2.5 cc pg600.  They both cycled and bred 16 days later.

I've noticed some producers AIing ewe lambs.  Is this something new?  Thought you weren't supposed to.  I've used CIDRs on ewe lambs and it worked so I guess someone took the next step.
