Honor - Feed is always fresh. Have never had an issue getting good, fresh feed. That beats anything else they can do!  Love the supplements also, they work very well with the feed and helpful people to give directions to feed the supplements if needed.

the lamb slam, high performance.  Like the 6% fat content from a breeders perspective so that they get bloomy fast and look good at sales.  Also like the ability to order it by the ton and realize a significant savings.  As for fresh, I believe that they make it the day before they send it out on the truck.

For us it has always been what I could get fresh, consistent and have good results. It has always come back to Shotec for us.

Honor, I like the supplements, web site feeding strategy and help Kevin gives kids.  Feed is the easiest to get in our area but now that we don't much anymore the local dealer got told he doesn't have enough volume to justify being a dealer.  Not sure if we made the difference or not, (hope we didn't spend that much).

I have added the feeds that were not there originally. If your favorite wasn't there, vote for it now.   ;)

We decided to try Umbargers this year and have been pleased with it. Still using honor supplements a little as needed.

Used Honor for about 10 years - consistent results.  Feed is readily available and the lambs normally eat without a problem.  Like their supplements as well better still need to tweak now and then.  My only complaint is the plant in CA doesn't have the moisture in the feed and others have.  Our Honor is just a little dry for me these days - tried different outlets - all the same.  Straight from the mill is dry too so I don't think our plant/mill uses quite the same molasses content.  Wish it was just a little moister.  Still gets the job done.  Have tested others during the off season and still come back to the Honor.

We like Kalmbach.  Fed two groups one year and tried the Kalmbach on one group and the Honor on the other.  Didn't expect to see much difference but after a few months the lambs on the Kalmbach just grew and looked better.  We then went to the Kalmbach on both groups and the group that was fed Honor at first seemed to improve a lot after several weeks.

I like Honor but have to  drive about 40 miles one way to get it. Lamb slam high performance is a great feed too, and I can purchase it locally.

Did the High Noon for a few years.  Good stuff but pricey.  Have liked Starmaster and their products very much as well. However, we kept noticing that when we compared the ewe lamb keeper pen which were on Purina Grand Lamb Mixer (you add your own corn and oats depending on what percent protein you want it to be) that those lambs were just has hard to the touch and nicely finished as the show lamb pen which were on more expensive show feeds.  So this year, we fed the market show lambs the Grand Lamb Mixer as well tweaked individually with either Starmaster Shine Em Up if they needed a little more condition or Starmaster Starglo if they needed a little firmer touch and we were not disappointed.  Saved some money too.
