AI in ewe lambs
« on: November 07, 2015, 06:08:03 pm »
I've noticed some producers AIing ewe lambs.  Is this something new?  Thought you weren't supposed to.  I've used CIDRs on ewe lambs and it worked so I guess someone took the next step.

It is done but you do not have as high of a take rate which is why it is not recommended.

Thanks, it does seem risky.  I only cidred 2 ewe lambs this year.  Nothing happened after pulling cidrs at 10 days and 2.5 cc pg600.  They both cycled and bred 16 days later.
