Holding for condition
« on: June 26, 2015, 10:39:49 am »
I have a ewe lamb with a sprain leg. 30 days till fair. Sprain leg over a week ago, iced and rested no exercise for 5 days. not limping for last 2 days and back to walking her. Last night took her to practice and weigh in. Ride and practice must have been to much and by the end she was limping again, nothing like before though. Gave baby Tylenol and back to resting for another week. she weighs #120. Not worried about her weight she will show best for frame size around 130#. but after 1 week of rest she is handling a little soft. She is a shrop and already was border line on to much condition prior to injury. Feeding 2.5 lbs of 18% high noon pav mix and 2 oz clean expression per day.

I want to hold for condition not really weight, and limited on exercising, going to try starting isometrics in a couple days? Can someone post the link or program of exercises and reps for isometrics please?

Is what I'm feeding sound what you would do for holding for condition?

Any tricks or tips for heeling a sprain quickly?
