Nhg dispersal
« on: June 22, 2015, 02:58:02 pm »
Any guesses as to how much the rams sell for?  The Americas top 20 seemed to sell well so I am expecting some high prices.

Anyone want to partner on one? :)

I didn't realize how many "flush ewes" they had.  Quite a few rams, wonder if we'll see any impact on MWSRS prices later this week.  (It would be nice from a buyer's view point. :-) )

I would say that is a great possibility Don. I joked with my wife that we needed to pick up two of the ewes and one of the rams. I am assuming a huge average on that set of sheep.

Well, this seems to be a major hit to the A.I. sheep industry. It just doesnt seem to be something that will be largely commercially succesful like it isi in other species.

Looks like Apollo went to Boatman Club Lambs, Reign On to Poe Hampshire's, Liquid Courage to Shroyer.  Humm that's all I can remember for now.

This is lifted from a Show Lamb Page Forum in Facebook

Can a ram be collected too much that.it can cause fertility issues?

I would think that being over collected would just cause temporary decreased fertility bit that it would resolve if given rest to mature more sperm.
