Lambs not interested in grain.
« on: June 24, 2015, 06:42:54 pm »
I have a 5 month old bottle lamb that was down sick this past week very lethargic and dehydrated. Was at vets put on IV fluids and was given selenium and vitamin e supplement, iron supplement, vitamin b complex everyday for past week, and probios everyday. back to be perky and himself  eating hay and grass but still has little to no interest in grain . will come running to the feed bucket then he will sniff it and walk away to go eat grass. Anything you guys can think of to help me out??

Give him time. Offer him a couple handfuls of feed each feeding. Within a few days to a week, he should start showing interest again. Then increase slowly. In the meantime, feed the lamb the hay it wants.
